Do I need an appointment to visit?

You must take appointments. Even if you walk in, we will ask you to come back at a later time. Furthermore, since prices for walk-ins or same-day bookings are different, we strongly recommend booking in advance.

For walk-in customers, a booking is only confirmed once payment is made upfront.

Can I get support in English over the phone?

Yes, we provide support in English. However, as we are often unable to answer the phone while shampooing or performing other tasks, we recommend contacting us via LINE or WhatsApp.

Please note: We often don’t answer American phone numbers because there are so many scam calls.

Why are the fees for same-day contact and bookings higher?

All of WEC Hair customers book at least one day before their visit. We DO NOT see why we should have to accommodate someone visiting Japan who suddenly decides on a “souvenir haircut” just because they have extra time. Therefore, we will only accommodate such requests if the initial fee and the higher same-day rate are paid. Please respect the rules in Japan. While you might get immediate service in your hometown, this is Tokyo—one of the world’s busiest cities. If you simply want a “souvenir haircut,” please go to a slow salon.

We are very happy when customers return. If you have visited us even once before, we will accommodate you at standard prices, so please contact us “Early.” You know the rules, right?

Can I get my hair colored silver or white?

Japanese hair dyes and bleaches are weaker than those in other countries because the use of 9% (30vol) and 12% (40vol) hydrogen peroxide is not permitted in Japan. Consequently, achieving white or silver hair with Japanese bleach requires three rounds of bleaching. This process takes at least 5 hours. The cost starts from 55,000 yen (initial fee excluded). If you wish to book, please do so via email or WhatsApp. You need to pay a deposit.

We receive many inquiries about going white or sliver hair, so please read this before contacting us. It is quite a hassle to answer these repeatedly.

I would like to know the price for a permanent hair straightening (Straight Perm).

We cannot provide a price without seeing your current hair. It takes a very long time for people with afro hair or mixed-race hair. Our straightening agents are primarily designed for Asian hair. Japanese straightening agents are highly advanced, and some can achieve results even with mild formulas. The price ranges from 11,000 yen to 66,000 yen (initial fee excluded), and the time required varies from 1.5 to 6 hours. You need to pay a deposit.
